15 mins prepServes 8
A unique twist on classic meatloaf, these meat brownies are topped with a creamy potato icing. They're made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, and a blend of spices, then baked to perfection and glazed with ketchup and brown sugar.
1: Sautee onions on medium low until slightly caramelized.
2: Add 1 tbsp honey towards the end of the sautéing and allow the onions to cool.
3: In a large bowl, combine the meat with all other ingredients and mix with your hands, making sure it is not overmixed.
4: Place the mixture into a 9x9 pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
5: After baking, top with the glaze made from ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce and mix well.
6: Return to the oven for about 10 minutes.
7: For the potato icing, boil diced potatoes until they can be easily pierced by a fork.
8: Strain the potatoes and add in butter and salt.
9: Mash the potatoes well and add in milk to make it thinner than normal mashed potatoes so that it can spread easily.
