Giant Cheese Stuffed Garlic Knots

1: Whisk the warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until it bubbles.

2: Add in the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and half of the flour. Mix well.

3: Gradually add the remaining flour and knead the dough for 5 minutes, adding more flour if needed.

4: Place the dough back in the bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm area for 1-2 hours until doubled.

5: Once ready, shape the dough into a log and cut it into strips. Roll each strip to flatten and fill with mozzarella cheese.

6: Roll the dough over the cheese to form a log filled with cheese, then tie it into a knot.

7: Place the knots on a baking sheet and let rest for another 30-45 minutes.

8: For the garlic topping, melt butter and mix in garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Reserve some for later.

9: Brush the knots with beaten egg for a golden color, if desired.

10: Bake the knots at 400°F for 20-23 minutes until golden.

11: After baking, use the reserved butter mixture to top the knots with Parmesan and parsley.
