Cheese Stuffed Garlic Knots

1: Whisk the warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until it bubbles.

2: Add in the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and half of the flour. Mix well.

3: Gradually add the rest of the flour and knead for 5 minutes, adding flour only if needed.

4: Place the dough back in a bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

5: Shape the dough into a log and cut into strips. Roll each strip out flat, add cheese in the middle, and roll it up into a log.

6: Tie each log into a knot and place on a baking sheet. Let rest for 30-45 minutes.

7: For the garlic topping, melt butter and mix in garlic, seasoning, and salt, saving some for after baking.

8: (Optional) Beat the egg for an egg wash and brush on top of the knots for a golden color.

9: Bake the knots at 400°F for 20-23 minutes.

10: Once out of the oven, top with the remaining butter mixture, Parmesan, and parsley.
